If a large tractor/trailer approaches and overtakes you while driving in some gusty wind conditions, try turning your wheel slightly away from the transport truck as they get even with you. There is a vacuum caused by the two vehicles passing and the larger truck will normally suck the lighter vehicle towards the passing truck. It is safer to steer slightly away from the truck which will still suck your lighter vehicle towards the truck but will not cause your vehicle to steer directly into the other vehicle. This can help offset the effects of the wind force created by the truck, thus allowing you to maintain your straight-ahead driving position.
