For 14 years, we have presented professional quality RV seminars nationwide to large and small groups. All our seminars are educational—not product seminars—and are media-supported with images and text delivered via high-quality presentations. All are lively, interactive, and laced with humor (at least we think so).

The following are variable-time seminars that are available in any sequence and will fit into virtually any time frame ranging from 15 minutes to 1.5 hours. Not all topics would consume 1.5 hours and not all could be done well in 15 minutes—however, an overview of the topic can be presented.

Seminar Title:  **RVing to Alaska – How to Make this Great Trip On Your Own?

Description:  Taking an RV to Alaska is different than any other trip. Based on his three Alaskan books, “RVing to Alaska, 2nd Edition,” “RVing to Alaska On Your Own,” and “RVing to Alaska By Ferry,” Ron Jones provides “how to” information about planning and actually making the trip to Alaska by RV by yourself—no caravan. Unless you have taken an RV up there, this information will be new and different.

Seminar Title:  **RVing to Newfoundland – How to Make this Great Trip On Your Own?

Description:   “RVing to Newfoundland” is about one of the few places for RVers to go that isn’t conveniently done in a car, takes an extended length of time to see, and traveling by RV is the perfect method for getting to and visiting there. The easternmost Canadian province of Newfoundland is remote, not easily accessed, and is the perfect RV trip.

Seminar Title:  How Much Will Fulltiming Cost?

Description Guessing at the cost of fulltiming is iffy at best and can turn a good decision into a disaster. Seminar Title:   So, Can I Really Drive an RV?

Description:   Learn the limitations and maneuverability of any RV, how to practice and negotiate unusual hazards—focusing on both pilot and copilot becoming confident and competent drivers. “You don’t know what you don’t know,” so new and experienced RVers learn driving tips and techniques typically ignored, assumed, or unknown. Seminar Title:  Poop in your Pipe?—Sewage 101

Description:   One of the unpleasant necessities of RVing is dealing with dumping tanks. You do not want “poop in your pipe” so here’s the correct procedure for dumping and we don’t care how your friends told you to do it. RVers (and the boater’s of the world) made a conscious decision to carry their “crap” with them. Every once in awhile, you have to get rid of it and make room for more. Based on his book, “All the Stuff You Need to Know About RVing,” Ron Jones presents a humorous look at how to seriously “handle” RV sewage.

 

Seminar Title:  Boondocking (Dry Camping)

Description: If convenience and cost savings are important to you, then boondock occasionally. After all, you paid extra for the systems to live comfortably without hooking up to water and electric. Learn the tricks to extend your stay including water conservation tricks and tips, extending battery power, and living well—equal to being hooked up to utilities. Boondocking adds an estimated 15,000+ additional places you can stay overnight plus the cost savings is wonderful.

 

Seminar Title: Living in Your RV

Description:  Hints and tricks to make your life comfortable, safe, efficient, and fun in an RV. Whether you are a weekender or fulltimer, you will learn numerous unusual ideas to be far more efficient when RVing. Based on his book, “All the Stuff You Need to Know About RVing,” Ron and Sandy Jones present a lively seminar to make your life easier while living in your RV.

 

Seminar Title:  How to Look at an RV?

Description:  Before you spend that $20,000 or $200,000, make sure the RV “fits” you. Will your feet hang out at night, do you have to get on your knees to hook up sewage, will your cabinets open with the slides in, and other really important topics will be presented. Based on his recent book, “Fulltiming for New and Used RVers,” Ron Jones presents a plan for carefully looking at an RV before you write the big check. You will be amazed at the ideas here.

 

Seminar Background and Information

I developed the concept for the “Mini-Seminar” for the Atlanta RV Show. The new concept was designed to present lots of information to the attendees but not take them off the show floor for long periods of time as “normal” seminars often do. We present a 15–20 minute seminar, on a different topic, every hour on the hour. We start on time and the joke is that if you are five minutes late, you’ve missed a third of the seminar. The same topic schedule is offered each day of the show.

Attendees plan for those topics that interest them, some are just walking by and stumble onto the seminars, still others will be at the first one and literally “mark” their chair somehow to ensure they will have a seat at the next session. Some have attended every seminar during one day and use the other two days for looking at RVs.

Our seminar topics have been presented to small (12-15) and large (500+) audiences nationwide including the Hershey RV Show, Tampa SuperShow, Lazydays, FMCA, The Rally (Good Sam), numerous RV Resorts nationwide, and numerous RV rallies. Seminars always end with time for questions.

Attendees learn that we are not selling RVs nor RV accessories—we only sell the RV books we have written. Our seminars are believable and attendees trust the information. Therefore, the credibility of the information is solid. Our focus is on the “how to” and designed to convey information about RV operations (including the on-board systems), lifestyle, and some specific travel. We do not promote nor sell gadgets. We do promote the safe, efficient, and cost-efficient use and operation of RVs.

None of our seminars are on DVDs or online except for one. The “Hand Signals Video” (click on the big gray button on the top of every page in this website) is the only video posted. We believe in facing the audience in a live session because it allows for lively questions and discussion.
